1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Jeetie ("Jeetie", "we", "us" or "our"). They apply to the Jeetie Ride app, the Jeetie Driver app, our websites and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. What Jeetie provides

Jeetie is a technology platform that connects people who need a ride ("riders") with independent drivers who provide transport ("drivers"). Jeetie does not itself provide transport services. Drivers are independent service providers and are not employees, agents or partners of Jeetie.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.
  • You may only hold one rider account and one driver account, and you may not transfer your account to anyone else.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your login details and one-time codes private and tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the app's profile settings. Outstanding balances and obligations survive deletion.

4. Using Jeetie as a rider

  • Make sure your pickup and drop-off details are accurate, and be at the pickup point on time.
  • Treat drivers and their vehicles with respect. You are responsible for any damage, excessive mess or cleaning costs you cause.
  • Wear a seatbelt and follow applicable road safety laws throughout the trip.
  • Do not carry anything illegal or dangerous, and do not ask a driver to break any law.
  • If you feel unsafe at any time, use the in-app safety and support tools and, in an emergency, contact local emergency services.

5. Fares, payments and wallet

  • The estimated fare is shown before you confirm a ride. The final fare may change if the route, distance, waiting time or destination changes during the trip, or if tolls apply.
  • You can pay with your Jeetie wallet, a saved card or cash. Card and wallet payments are processed by our third-party payment partners.
  • When paying cash, you agree to pay the full fare shown in the app directly to the driver at the end of the trip.
  • Wallet balances are held for paying for Jeetie rides and do not earn interest. Wallet funds are not transferable to other users unless the app offers that feature.
  • If you believe you were charged incorrectly, report it through the app within 7 days of the trip and we will review it.

6. Cancellations and scheduled rides

You may cancel a ride request at any time. A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel after a driver has accepted and is on the way, or if the driver waits at the pickup point beyond the allowed time and you do not show up. Any applicable fee is shown in the app.

Scheduled rides are requests made in advance. We will do our best to match you with a driver at the scheduled time, but availability is not guaranteed. You can review or cancel scheduled rides in the app.

7. Using Jeetie as a driver

To drive with Jeetie you must:

  • Hold a valid driver's licence and any permits required by the state or local government where you operate.
  • Use a roadworthy vehicle that is registered, insured and approved by us, and keep its documents valid.
  • Pass our verification and any background checks, and keep the information you gave us accurate.
  • Follow all traffic and transport laws, and never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Only accept trips that you will complete, follow the route agreed in the app unless the rider asks otherwise, and treat riders with courtesy.
  • Not allow anyone else to drive using your account.

You are an independent service provider. You decide when and where to go online and whether to accept a trip request. You are responsible for your own taxes, levies, vehicle costs and insurance.

8. Driver plans: subscription and commission

Drivers choose one of two plans for how they pay Jeetie for using the platform:

Subscription plan

  • You pay a fixed fee of X per month in advance.
  • While your subscription is active, Jeetie charges no commission and you keep 100% of the fares from trips you complete.
  • The subscription renews at the start of each billing period. If payment fails or the subscription lapses, you will not be able to receive trip requests on this plan until it is renewed or you switch to the Commission plan.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable for a billing period that has already started, except where required by law.

Commission plan

  • There is no upfront fee.
  • Jeetie keeps a commission of X% of the fare of each completed trip. The rest is your earnings.
  • For card and wallet trips, the commission is deducted before your earnings are paid out. For cash trips, the commission is deducted from your driver wallet balance and must be settled as shown in the Driver app.

General plan terms

  • You can choose or change your plan in the Jeetie Driver app. A change takes effect from the next billing period unless the app states otherwise.
  • Tolls and any fees collected on behalf of third parties are passed through and are not subject to commission.
  • We may change plan prices or commission rates. We will give you at least 14 days' notice in the app before any change applies to you, and you may switch plans or stop driving if you do not agree.
  • Earnings are paid to the bank account you provide, on the schedule shown in the Driver app.

9. Community standards

Everyone using Jeetie must:

  • Treat others with respect. Harassment, discrimination, threats, violence or sexual misconduct of any kind are not tolerated.
  • Not commit fraud, including fake trips, manipulating fares, misusing promotions or chargebacks without cause.
  • Not use in-app chat or contact details shared through Jeetie for anything other than the trip.
  • Not interfere with, copy, reverse engineer or misuse the apps, or access them through automated means.

Ratings and reports help keep the community safe. We may review them and take action under section 15.

10. Referrals and promotions

We may offer referral rewards, promo codes or discounts. Each offer is subject to its own conditions shown in the app, may expire, has no cash value unless stated, and may be withdrawn if we detect misuse.

11. Intellectual property

The Services, including the apps, website, the Jeetie name, logo and content, belong to Jeetie or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

12. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Jeetie reliable, but the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that a driver will always be available, that the Services will be uninterrupted or error free, or that estimated arrival times will be exact. Map and traffic data come from third parties and may not always be accurate.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Jeetie is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to Jeetie in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

14. Indemnity

You agree to compensate Jeetie for losses, claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law, or your violation of anyone else's rights while using the Services.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, temporarily or permanently, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or a safety risk, if your documents expire, or if required by law. Where appropriate we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which you use the Services. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either party may refer the dispute to mediation, and failing that to the competent courts of that country. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
